Underwood Property Management is a small, friendly company based in Omaha. We were founded in 2020. We manage a diverse mix of well-located apartments throughout Omaha, Benson, and Midtown.

We stand out among other management companies because of our relationship with our residents. That relationship is both high-tech and high-touch. We know our residents by name and are willing to provide individual service. Yet, we also offer a state-of-the-art tenant portal.

Meet Our Team

John

Co-Owner, CEO

John is currently the co-owner and CEO of Underwood Property Management, a family-owned company that focus on the revival of unique multifamily properties throughout the Omaha Metro area. He oversees all executive level operations and acquisitions.

Before starting Underwood Property Management, John was in the Marines, having served three successful tours in Iraq. After serving his country and returning home, John went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in Business Finance. Looking to diversify and further his education, he went on to receive his J.D from Nebraska College of Law. After seven years of practicing law, John was able to turn his success into starting Underwood Property Management.

Matt

Co-Owner, COO

Matt is currently the co-owner and COO of Underwood Property Management. Matt is responsible for the acquisition and transition of new properties within the company. Along with expanding the Underwood Property Management portfolio, Matt handles the successful revitalization of every property and the day-to-day operations of all capital projects.

Matt comes to Underwood Property Management with an extensive resume of service to the Omaha Metro Area. Matt worked at as an emergency medical technician while concurrently pursuing a degree in Fire Protection Technology from the University of Nebraska Omaha. After graduating, he pursued a successful firefighting career for ten years, with his last firefighting services provide to Papillion, Nebraska.

James

Acquisitions

James is presently in charge of the acquisition department and marketing for Underwood Property Management. James has implemented his many years people skills and web design to help grown the company's portfolio.

Prior to working with Underwood Property Management, James graduated from Metropolitan Community College’s nursing program. He worked as a traveling nurse for seven years, traveling to communities in need. After nursing, James decided to advance his education by completing the S.E.O for Real Estate Investors program. His compassion and technical education have made him an excellent fit for acquisitions and marketing.
